As a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation, we rely entirely on donations to fund all of our recycling kit distribution projects. Many of these funds are often raised through local community events and we are looking for someone to help us maximise these opportunities. As Community Fundraising Coordinator, you would be responsible for developing key relationships in different communities to encourage and support the undertaking of local fundraising events. You would also be responsible for supporting individuals wishing to raise money for Recycle Rebuild and would work with the wider fundraising team to achieve annual fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with Local Community Fundraisers to encourage, support and inspire local fundraising events for Recycle Rebuild.

• Manage communications with, and support individuals wishing to raise money for Recycle Rebuild.

• Develop resources to support community and individual fundraising.

• Manage the marketing and promotions of community and individual fundrasing.

• Provide support to the wider fundraising team whenever necessary.

Qualifications

• Takes initiative and actively seeks to forge new ones

• Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications for fundraising. Ability to convey complex ideas through brief, simple materials. Experience and credibility when presenting materials to external audiences

• Gets others to accept ideas by using convincing arguments, creates a win-win situation and responds appropriately to key stakeholders

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships (additional languages a bonus)

• Skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with peers, across different levels of the organization and externally

• Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will proactively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside Recycle Rebuild

• High energy and passion for Recycle Rebuild's mission is essential
